Igniting the Electric Vehicle Market:  Nathan Bomey, GM Automotive Writer, Detroit Free Press – GM is promising 500,000 electric vehicles by 2017, with the Chevy Volt playing a key role.  Next year GM rolls out its Cadillac ELR, a luxury electric coupe based on the Volt Powertrain.

Downtown Association of Ypsilanti: Model Kit Making – Dave Heikkinen, DAY; ModelCave Owners Jon Cassino and Melissa Barnes:  ModelCave on West Michigan Avenue in downtown Ypsilanti stocks thousands of plastic model kits and everything needed to build them.  From the five-foot long model of the WWII Battleship Bismarck to models of Old Spanish Galleons and even Warcraft action figures, the shop is an example of how old-fashioned fun can still be so entertaining.
