Pet of the Week: Deb Kern, Humane Society of Huron Valley , along with Dean Erskine - Our Pet of the Week is actually a brother-sister “Perfect Pair” this week.   Blackie & Cookie are adorable chihuahuas, whose family could no longer care for them. They would prefer a home without children under the age of 12 because they are really timid and shy. The foster reports that they are a little shy when meeting new people but warm up quickly and are true lap dogs! They are also crate trained and housetrained.

Ann Arbor Chronicle:  Ann Arbor Transit Moves Forward – Mary Morgan, Publisher, Ann Arbor Chronicle:  Following the loss of support for the proposed countywide transit, AATA is now shoring up its service to the Ann Arbor area with increased service planned for the popular Route 5 (Packard Road from Ann Arbor to Ypsilanti.)  Read the Chronicle report here.  Mary also reports on last week’s meeting of the University of Michigan Board of Regents, including several planned renovations.  The City of Ann Arbor’s Planning Commission is our Meeting to Watch this week.  Mary tells us that the agenda includes a resolution in Support of Adopting the Ann Arbor Climate Action Plan.  Make sure to read the Chronicle reports on that and other government and school board meetings to keep abreast of our elected officials.
