KitPet of the WeekKit  - Deb Kern, Humane Society of Huron Valley , along with Dean Erskine – Our Pet of the Week is Kit, a twelve-year-old kitty on the search for her forever family. She would do best in a quieter home where her new family can give her the time she needs to get used to her new surroundings. Kit is very much a bush dweller and loves all four paws on the floor; so being picked up isn’t really her thing. This gentle gal hopes you can stop by for a visit! Around the Home:  Beacon Springs – A Net Zero Home:  Pete Nowakowski, BRAG Ann Arbor (Builders & Remodelers Association of Greater Ann Arbor); Bob Burnside, Founder/President, Fireside Home Construction – An extraordinary building project is in the works that is expected to inspire your imagination about what is possible in the Ann Arbor today in home construction.  Called Beacon Springs, it will use only rain and falling snow on the roof as its only source of water.  Even the toilet waste will be composted and re-used.  This interview was first recorded March 29, 2013.
