Andrea Sullivan and Michael KlementAround the Home: From Downtown Plymouth to Historic Ann Arbor – Two Outstanding Projects on The Remodelers Home Tour – Andrea Sullivan, Meeting & Events Director, BRAG Ann Arbor;  Michael Klement, Architectural Resource - An award-winning home remodel in downtown Plymouth is an example of “addition by subtraction”, and speaks to the growing trend of downsizing into smart spaces.  It’s one of two offerings by architect Michael Klement on the Remodelers Home Tour.  The other is an original Albert Khan home in Ann Arbor that pays tribute to its history while updating the home to fit how we live today.

Dennis NortonDeadline Extended to Save the Bomber Plant:  Dennis Norton, President of the Michigan Aerospace Foundation/Founder of the Yankee Air Museum – Yankee Air Museum now has until November 1 to raise $3 million to buy a portion of the former Willow Run Bomber Plant in Ypsilanti.  At the peak of its production during World War II the Willow Run Plant produced B-24 Liberator bomber planes at the astonishing rate of one every hour, and employed over 40,000 workers, including many pioneering women assembly line workers.

Downtown Friday with the Downtown Association of Ypsilanti: Dave Heikkinen, DAY President; Mark Ducker, Ypsi 24 Hour Film Shootout  - Crews of filmmakers will set out between Friday and Saturday to write, film and edit a short film in just 24 hours. Entries will be submitted on Saturday night, and the top entries will be screened & honored on the evening of September 29 at the EMU College of Business auditorium at 6 PM.  The winner receives $1,000 and the IPSY trophy!
