September 2, 2010: Kim Martini, Director, Dexter Senior Center - As some of our local senior centers struggle with funding issues, the Dexter Senior Center is doing it entirely through donations. Director Kim Martini explains how.

Dexter’s official history predates that of the state of Michigan by 13 years, having been founded June 10, 1824, by Samuel William Dexter. Today, Dexter’s village is a thriving community with a strong mix of residential and commercial interests. It boasts excellent schools, good proximity to major highways and a way of life that has held true to the initial vision for the village.

January 28, 2010: Marni Schmid, Owner of the Dexter Pharmacy & Ann Arbor’s Village Pharmacy – The new Dexter Pharmacy is being built in Dexter. They broke ground on December 28 and hope to be open by the end of October with a drive-thru window and free delivery to Dexter, Hamburg and Pinckney. Marni talks about the pharmacy business and how they set themselves apart from the Big Box pharmacies.

- The Dexter Lions are organizing and hosting the District Lions 11-B1 Convention in Ann Arbor, April 16-18, 2010, and they are gearing up this month for the international Lions in Sight Public Relations program. In addition, a new Lions Club is forming a club in Clinton and a new Leos Club at Dexter High School. Matt and Terry show us how important such service clubs are to our local communities.
