Downtown Friday with the Main Street Area Association: The Ravens Club – Maura Thomson, MSAA Executive Director; The Ravens Club’s Owner Jeff Paquin and Executive Chef Frank Fejeran – At The Ravens Club in downtown Ann Arbor, it’s all about the flavor, whether you’ve come for this rustic, farm-to-table American cuisine or a top-shelf Old Fashioned with housemade bitters. The Ravens Club is participating in the 2013 Taste of Ann Arbor on Sunday, June 2. This annual community event features local restaurants offering visitors bite size tastes of what they do best. Tickets for food tastes can be purchased at the event for .50 each.

Michigan Football Takeover for Mott Children’s Hospital: Vicky Schieck, R.N., Pediatric Liver Transplant Nurse, Mott Children’s Hospital – Former Michigan football players are back in Ann Arbor this weekend to raise funds for the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund and Mott Children’s Hospital. The players, (some now in the NFL), Mott physicians and nurses, and the families served by Mott, joined us on all of the Ann Arbor Radio stations to share their stories.

Downtown Friday with the Downtown Association of Ypsilanti: Branching Out to Depot Town – Dave Heikkinen, DAY President; Mark Teachout, Co-Owner, Café Ollie and the Michigan General Store – The Downtown Association of Ypsilanti champions the downtown area along Michigan Avenue, but also builds connections with its Depot Town business community to the north as well. There we find a unique collection of businesses and introduce you to two of them. Café Ollie’s is a “vegetarian, vegan and meat too establishment”, while the Michigan General Store focuses on Michigan products, including beer and wine.
