General Motors Pulls Facebook Advertising:  Nathan Bomey, Business Reporter, Detroit Free Press – Before Facebook launched its IPO this week, General Motors announced it was pulling out as an advertiser on the social media site.  At the same time, GM acknowledged that it’s spending more to develop free content on Facebook.  Nathan takes a look at the value the auto companies get from their SM involvement.

Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce:  Bob Pierce, Chelsea Chamber Executive Director; Nancy Graebner, President/CEO, Chelsea Community Hospital, St. Joseph Mercy Health System – Ann Arbor native Nancy Graebner is the new President and CEO of Chelsea Community Hospital.  She returned to our community earlier this year after 8 years in Greenville, South Carolina, where she had served as the executive vice president of physician strategy and services for Bon Secours St. Francis Health System.

West Washtenaw Business Association: Ann Arbor Housing Market – Rick Stites, WWBA President; Nancy Merdzinski, Executive Officer, Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors; Linda Lombardini, Owner, Trillium Realtors/Pres., AA Area Board of Realtors:  The average sale price of residential real estate in the Ann Arbor area is up 23%, according to data released by the Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors.  The average price for April 2012 was $210,723, compared to $171,593 for the previous year.  Linda Lombardini has been in the top 9.7% of sellers in the entire 900-member Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors for many years.  She and her partner, Ann Arbor City Councilmember Sandi Smith, are owners of Trillium Real Estate.
