Chelsea’s Jiffy Mix Expanding – Howdy Holmes, Owner, Chelsea Milling Company – Mabel White Holmes first created Jiffy Mix in 1930.  Today her grandson is pouring $35 million into the Chelsea operation, as he prepares for future growth of the company.  Jiffy Baking Mix was the first prepared baking mix in the United States.  In their busiest week last year, Jiffy produced 7 million packages of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix alone.
